Since the last 3 years, Shanky Studio has been organizing Creative Karma Visual Art Exhibition, which is a cost-effective platform for budding and amateur artists, at no profit-no loss basis. The mission of Shanky Studio is to raise awareness about visual arts, which helps the participants to channelize their energy in a constructive way and, enhances the aesthetic experience of the audience.
Surinder Shanker Anand (owner of Shanky Studio) says “Art is more of a happening, a meditation, where the subject and the object merge into each other and transcend the concept of time, space, and unit. It is amazing that this phenomenon takes place when the entity ‘I’ is not present at all. Not only does the artist enjoy this creative process, but also their manifestation can be enjoyed by others.”
This year, Creative Karma Visual Art Exhibition will be held at Punjab Kala Bhavan, Chandigarh, on the 20th and the 21st, January 2018, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., on both days. Fifty artists, with ages ranging from 4 to 65 years, from a wide range of professions such as businessman, doctors, engineer, lawyer, students, teachers, housewives and special children. The participant artists come from various states such as Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Rajasthan, NCR and Chandigarh; and will exhibit over 250 artworks to the people of Tricity.
